Curacao Immigration Information Work Permit

Foreign citizens that would like to work in the Netherlands Antilles need an employer that sponsors their work permit. The work permit is in addition to the residence permit, these are two separate requirements. In general, a residence permit does not allow employment.

Residence permits have to be applied for in person at the Lieutenant Governor's offices; a good deal of personal, medical and financial information and documentation is required.

Work permits have to be applied for by employers, after advertising a position in local newspapers and failing to fill it.

Please verify the detailed requirements of each application with the authority concerned. Expect the application process to take threee months.
